Covid 19 Information - The Loft

This information sheet has been put together as face-to-face sessions begin at The Loft Wellbeing space in Uppermill. It will be updated regularly.

Arriving at Sessions

• Please plan your journey in advance – at the time of writing bus services are running to-and-from Uppermill regularly. If travelling by public transport, please plan your journey in advance, adhere to the suggested precautions, and wear a face mask if you can.

• Currently the waiting space is not in use at The Loft, and we would ask you to aim to arrive on time for your session.

• The Loft is shared with other therapists, within a suite of rooms which are used by a range of businesses. When you arrive at The Loft, it is recommended that you wear a face mask in the shared spaces and use the hand gel which is provided on the table by the front door (on your right-hand side).

• Come up the stairs and follow signs for The Loft or call me on the number provided to clients and I will come and meet you at the front door.

• There is a toilet available at the venue, which is shared with other businesses.

As we do not have sole use of the facilities, we recommend that you use alternative facilities where possible, before arriving for your session. Toilets are available nearby at Abaco Grand Café and Uppermill Library. If you do need to use the facilities, you will find wipes, cleaning products and hand sanitizer available within the cubicle.

The Loft

• Additional cleaning has been implemented before and between sessions within the loft, particularly regarding touchpoints and surfaces. I will be continuing to sanitize my hands in between clients and at the start of sessions.

• Although social distancing regulations have changed, where possible we are maintaining a 2-metre distance in the counselling rooms/shared spaces. We are ventilating between sessions and where feasible, will keep windows open during sessions. Client numbers at The Loft are being limited.

• To limit the handling of glassware, cups, and boxes I will not be providing water or hot drinks, or tissues within sessions at this time. Please bring whatever you need to make yourself feel comfortable – this may include tissues and a blanket or scarf, as well as drinks. Please remember to take these away with you at the end of the session.

• Payments at this time will continue to be via bank transfer in advance of sessions and no cash will be accepted at The Loft.

• If you feel ill, please do not attend your session. The usual cancellation policy still applies, but in the instance of you not being able to attend due to illness, an online or phone appointment will be offered in lieu of attending in person.

• If you experience C-19 symptoms, please inform me immediately so if necessary, I can self-isolate and inform other clients that they may need to do the same.

• If I or any of my other clients become ill, I may need to disclose clients' contact details to the NHS Track & Trace service. If this becomes necessary, I will only be disclosing your name and contact number, and practical details such as when we last saw each other. No details of how we know each other, or any session content will be shared. By coming to face-to-face sessions, you give your permission for your data to be shared in this way if it becomes necessary.

• You are welcome to give feedback or ask questions about the new measures at any point during our sessions.

• As the current coronavirus pandemic is an ongoing situation, we may need to review the above if government guidelines change, including potentially returning to online (or phone) sessions if we become subject to local lockdown measures. I'll keep you posted about any anticipated changes as much as I'm able so we can discuss and make plans around this as necessary.
